Applying from Punjab
For central schemes, apply on the national portal linked in each guide. Verification is usually carried out by your district administration or the relevant Punjab department, which is why approval times vary between districts.
Documents issued by the Punjab government — domicile, income and caste certificates in particular — are often required, so obtain them before you start an application rather than midway through.
