This policy explains what data Apna Yojana collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Who is responsible for your data
Apna Yojana is a privately run information website. The person responsible for the data described here is its editor, and you can reach them at contact@apnayojana.com for anything in this policy. We aim to handle personal data in line with Indian data protection law, and to collect as little of it as we can.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, collect or store your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank details, application numbers or any government-issued identifiers. We never request documents. If a page or message claiming to be from us asks for these, it is not us.
Calculator inputs stay on your device. The figures you type into our calculators are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to us and not stored anywhere.
What we do collect
- Analytics data — we use Google Analytics 4 to count pages visited, approximate location by region, device type, browser and referring site, and a few actions on a page: following a link to an official portal, using a calculator (that it was used, not what you typed), opening a question, changing language and searching this site. Search terms are recorded with long numbers and email addresses removed, so an Aadhaar, mobile or account number typed into search is never sent. The data is aggregated and used to understand which guides are useful.
- Information you send us — if you email us a correction or question, we keep that message so we can reply and act on it.
- Technical logs — standard server logs including IP address, kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies for basic functionality and for advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
Third parties, including Google, may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons or IP addresses, to collect information as a result of ads being served on this site. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell visits apart. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s browser add-on. If you choose a language, a lang cookie remembers it.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site remains readable with cookies disabled.

Who else handles data for us
We do not sell personal data. Google processes analytics and, when ads are shown, advertising data under its own privacy policy. The site is hosted by Vercel, which handles the ordinary technical requests every web host receives. Both may process data outside India.
How long we keep things
Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, not indefinitely. Emails you send us are kept for as long as it takes to answer them and record any correction they led to. Server logs are kept briefly, for security and abuse prevention.
Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Because we collect no identifiers, application data or payment details, there is very little on our side for anyone to take.
Affiliate links
We do not currently carry affiliate links. If we ever add one, it will be marked as an affiliate link, it will never sit on a government scheme guide, and it will not change what we write. Links to government portals are never affiliate links.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email us using the address on our contact page and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date below.
