We research every page from primary government sources and publish the date each page was verified. Even so, government rules, benefit amounts, interest rates and deadlines change frequently — and sometimes without notice. Information here may become out of date between our review cycles.

Always confirm details on the official portal linked on each page before you act on them. Where our page and the official source disagree, the official source is correct.

How this site produces its content

We use AI tools to help research, draft and translate guides. A figure is published only after it has been checked against the official source named beside it, and every page shows the date of that check. AI is a drafting aid on this site, never the source of a fact.

Rules differ by state and by person

Central schemes apply across India, but state schemes apply only to residents of that state, and both set conditions on age, income, family, residence and employment that can change your answer. A page here describes the published rule. It cannot tell you whether you personally qualify, and a rule that looks like it fits you can still be applied differently by the office that handles your case.

Official portals go down and move

Government portals are sometimes unavailable, change their addresses, or restructure their pages. We check the links we publish, but one may be down or moved when you reach it. If an official link fails, try it again later, and tell us so we can update it.

Spotting a fake portal

Many websites copy the names of government schemes and charge for what is free. Use the official portal linked on each of our pages, check the address before you enter anything, and never pay an agent or a website to register. Most official portals sit on .gov.in or .nic.in addresses, but not all do: some state programmes run on their own domains, which is why we name the source for each link.

Calculators are estimates

The calculators on this site are planning tools. They produce estimates based on the figures you enter and the formula stated on the page. They are not a statement of what you will actually receive, and they do not account for every individual circumstance. For a binding figure, check with the department, bank or employer concerned.
