How the monthly amount has changed

  • ₹1,000 a month when the scheme began in June 2023.
  • ₹1,250 a month from October 2023.
  • ₹1,500 a month from November 2025, first paid as the 30th installment on 12 November 2025.
  • Separately, a one-off ₹250 was paid for Raksha Bandhan in August 2023, August 2024, August 2025 and August 2026 — in August 2026 alongside the 39th installment.

Is there a fixed date each month?

No. The FAQ on the official portal, written when the scheme launched in 2023, says the money is transferred on the 10th of every month. That is no longer how it works: the installments from September 2025 to September 2026 were paid on the 12th, 12th, 12th, 16th, 14th, 13th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 12th, 19th and 13th.

In practice the state announces each transfer a day or so before it happens, usually at an event where the Chief Minister releases the money. Until that announcement is made, the next installment has no date.

  3. If a payment is missing, check the bank link

Payments go by Direct Benefit Transfer, so a bank account that is not Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled is the usual reason money does not arrive. The portal has a separate page for Aadhaar link and DBT status.
