Who is eligible

  • You must be a local resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  • You must be married — widowed, divorced and abandoned women are included.
  • You must have completed 21 years and be under 60 years of age as on 1 January of the year you apply.
  • Your family's combined annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • Your family's combined agricultural land must not exceed 5 acres.
  • You need a Samagra ID (family and individual), an Aadhaar card, and an Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled bank account in your own name.

Who is not eligible

These exclusions are as important as the eligibility rules — an application that falls into any of the categories below will be rejected or the benefit later recovered.

  • Families in which any member pays income tax.
  • Families in which any member is a permanent or contractual employee of the central or state government, or draws a government pension.
  • Women already receiving ₹1,000 or more a month under another government scheme. Under the original rules, a woman receiving less than ₹1,000 a month as a social welfare pension had the difference topped up.
  • Families that own a four-wheeler, other than a tractor.
  • Families in which any member is a current or former MP, MLA or elected representative of a local body.

Documents required

  • Family Samagra ID and the woman's individual Samagra ID
  • Aadhaar card, with the Samagra ID e-KYC linked to Aadhaar
  • Bank account in the woman's own name, linked to Aadhaar and DBT-enabled
  • Mobile number, registered for OTP

Why applications get rejected, and how to fix each one

Most rejections and stuck payments come down to a handful of record mismatches. Find yours below.

Samagra e-KYC not completed
Link your Samagra ID to Aadhaar through e-KYC. Applications without it are not accepted, and existing records without it can be held.
Bank account not Aadhaar-linked or not DBT-enabled
Ask your bank to seed Aadhaar to the account and enable DBT in the NPCI mapper. The account must be in the woman's own name.
Age outside the range on 1 January
You must have completed 21 and be under 60 on 1 January of the application year. If your Aadhaar date of birth is wrong, correct it there first.
Family income above ₹2.5 lakh, land above 5 acres, or a four-wheeler
These are exclusion conditions. A tractor does not count as a four-wheeler. If the record is wrong — for example land that was sold — raise it at the ward or panchayat office with proof.
Income tax payer or government employee in the family
The exclusion applies to the family unit. If the person counted is not part of your family as recorded in Samagra, get the Samagra family record corrected.
Name mismatch across Samagra, Aadhaar and bank
Correct the record that is wrong so all three match, then ask the ward or panchayat office to update the application.
