What each Madhya Pradesh scheme pays and who qualifies
Ladli Behna Yojana
What you get. ₹1,500 per month since November 2025 (₹1,000 a month when the scheme began in 2023), credited by Direct Benefit Transfer to the woman's own Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled bank account, on a date the state announces each month.
Who it is for. Married women of Madhya Pradesh — including widowed, divorced and abandoned women — who have completed 21 years and are under 60 as on 1 January of the application year, from families with annual income up to ₹2.5 lakh and up to 5 acres of farmland.
Eligibility conditions
- You must be a local resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- You must be married — widowed, divorced and abandoned women are included.
- You must have completed 21 years and be under 60 years of age as on 1 January of the year you apply.
- Your family's combined annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Your family's combined agricultural land must not exceed 5 acres.
- You need a Samagra ID (family and individual), an Aadhaar card, and an Aadhaar-linked, DBT-enabled bank account in your own name.
Who is not eligible
- The family's combined self-declared annual income is more than ₹2.5 lakh.
- Any member of the family pays income tax.
- Any member of the family is employed as a regular, permanent or contractual worker in a central or state government department, undertaking, board or local body, or draws a pension after retiring from one. Honorary workers — Anganwadi workers and helpers, ASHA workers and other mansevi karmi — and staff engaged through an outsourcing agency are explicitly NOT excluded by this rule.
- The woman is already receiving ₹1,250 a month or more under any scheme of the central or state government.
- Any member of the family is a sitting or former Member of Parliament or Member of the Legislative Assembly.
- Any member of the family is the chairperson, director or a member of a board, corporation or undertaking, appointed or nominated by the central or state government.
- Any member of the family is an elected representative of a local body — panch and up-sarpanch excepted.
- The family jointly holds more than five acres of agricultural land.
- A four-wheeler — tractors excepted — is registered in the name of any member of the family.

The 40th installment of ₹1,500 was transferred on Sunday, 13 September 2026, to more than 1.25 crore women. As of 15 September 2026 no date had been announced for the 41st. There is no fixed date: over the last year, payments were made between the 12th and the 19th of the month.
