How to apply for Maiya Samman Yojana

  1. Wait for the camp in your area

Applications are collected through camps organised across Jharkhand rather than by self-registration. Your panchayat or ward office announces the dates.

    Open the official page ↗

  2. Take the documents to the camp

Aadhaar, the ration card, and the passbook of a single-holder Aadhaar-linked account in your own name. Names should match across all three.

  3. Have the form filled and keep the acknowledgement

The official at the camp fills the application on the scheme system and gives you an acknowledgement. Applying is free.

  4. Verification and payment

Applications are verified by the block and district officials on the scheme's single-window system before ₹2,500 a month is credited by DBT.

Why applications get rejected, and how to fix each one

Most rejections and stuck payments come down to a handful of record mismatches. Find yours below.

Bank account is joint, or not linked to Aadhaar
The scheme pays only into a single-holder account in the woman's own name that is Aadhaar-linked. Open or nominate such an account and have the record updated at the block office.
Ration card type not covered, or card not found
Only yellow, pink, white and green cards qualify. If your family holds one but it was not found, check the card number entered and that the card is active in the food department's records.
Age outside 18 to 50 on the date of application
There is no exception to the age range. If your Aadhaar date of birth is wrong, correct it with UIDAI first.
Government employee, pensioner, income tax filer, EPF holder or MP/MLA in the family
These are exclusion conditions under the scheme. If the person counted is not part of your family unit, raise it with the block officer with supporting proof.
Already receiving another WCD social security pension
A woman cannot draw two social security pensions from the department. If you would rather have Maiya Samman, ask the block office about surrendering the other benefit.
Name mismatch between Aadhaar, ration card and bank
Correct the record that is wrong so all three match, then have the application updated.
