Ayushman card hospital list: find an empanelled hospital near you

Your Ayushman card works only at empanelled hospitals. The official search lets you filter by state, district, hospital name and speciality — and shows which hospitals are suspended.

Facts last checked against official sources on 7 September 2026
Not a government website. This page explains the process; the official portal at beneficiary.nha.gov.in is where anything is actually done, and it is free to use.
Check the suspended hospitals list before admission. A hospital can appear in the empanelled search and still be suspended; treatment there is not covered while the suspension lasts.

What a hospital record tells you

Every entry shows the state and district, the hospital name and type, the specialities it is empanelled for, and a nodal person with contact details. Public hospitals are listed alongside private ones — both provide cashless treatment under the scheme.

The National Health Authority also publishes the full list as a PDF. It is useful for offline reference, but the online search is updated continuously and is the version to trust when a hospital's status is in question.

What to do when you reach the hospital

  1. Find the Ayushman Mitra help desk

Empanelled hospitals have a help desk for scheme beneficiaries. Go there before registration and show your Ayushman card or your Aadhaar.

  2. Let the hospital verify you

The desk verifies your identity and eligibility on the scheme system. No fee is payable for this.

  3. Treatment is cashless for covered procedures

The hospital raises the pre-authorisation and claim with the scheme. You should not be asked to pay for a covered procedure, and there is no reimbursement process to chase afterwards.

If something goes wrong

  • The hospital says it is not empanelled: check the search page in front of them. If it is empanelled and not suspended, ask for the Ayushman Mitra desk.
  • The hospital asks for money for a covered procedure: refuse, and call the toll-free helpline 14555 to register a grievance with the hospital name.
  • Your card is not found: log in to the beneficiary portal to confirm your e-KYC is approved; the hospital desk can also complete e-KYC for you.
  • The speciality you need is not on the hospital's list: choose another empanelled hospital — the cover is portable across all of them, in any state.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my Ayushman card at any hospital?

No — only at hospitals empanelled under PM-JAY, and only for the specialities each hospital is empanelled for. Use the official search to check before admission.

Is treatment free in private hospitals with an Ayushman card?

At an empanelled private hospital, covered procedures are cashless up to the family's ₹5 lakh annual limit. You do not pay and then claim; the hospital settles with the scheme.

How do I check if a hospital is empanelled under Ayushman Bharat?

Search it on hospitals.pmjay.gov.in by state, district or name. Also check the suspended list — an empanelled hospital that is currently suspended cannot treat you under the scheme.

Can I use the card in another state?

Yes. The cover is portable, so a beneficiary from one state can be treated at an empanelled hospital in any other state.
