PM Kisan beneficiary status: check payments and the three flags

Know Your Status on the official portal shows every instalment paid to you and the three flags that decide whether the next one comes. Here is how to read it and what to do about each No.

Not a government website. This page explains the process; the official portal at pmkisan.gov.in is where anything is actually done, and it is free to use.

How to check your PM Kisan status

You need your registration number. If you do not have it, the second link below finds it from your Aadhaar or mobile number.

  1. Open Know Your Status on pmkisan.gov.in

This is the official page. It is free; anyone charging to check your status is using this same page.

    Open the official page ↗

  2. Enter your registration number and the captcha

Then request the OTP, which goes to the mobile number registered against your account. Enter it to open your record.

  3. If you do not know your registration number

Use Know Your Registration No. — enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number, verify with OTP, and the portal shows it.

    Open the official page ↗

  4. Read the payment history and the three flags

The page lists each instalment with its status, and shows e-KYC, land seeding and Aadhaar–bank seeding as Yes or No.

What each flag means

FlagYes meansNo means — and the fix
e-KYCYour identity is verified against AadhaarComplete e-KYC by OTP, face authentication in the app, or biometrics at a CSC
Land seedingYour land record is linked to your registrationContact your district nodal officer or agriculture office with your land record
Aadhaar–bank seedingYour bank account is Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabledAsk your bank to seed Aadhaar to the account and enable it in the NPCI mapper

If you applied recently and are not on the list yet

A new registration goes through state verification before it becomes a beneficiary record, so Know Your Status may not find it. Use the separate status page for self-registered and CSC-registered farmers, which tracks the application itself.

Verification is done by your state or district administration. If it has been pending for months, the state nodal officer list on the portal gives you the right person to ask.

Other ways to check

  • Call the 24×7 IVRS helpline on 155261 to hear your beneficiary status.
  • Visit a Common Service Centre, where the operator can check status and instalment payments for you.
  • Use the PM-KISAN mobile app, which shows the same status as the portal.
The Know Your Status page changed in 2023 to require an OTP. If an old guide or video shows a version without OTP, it is out of date.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my PM Kisan status with my Aadhaar number?

Know Your Status now works with your registration number and an OTP. If you only have your Aadhaar number, first use Know Your Registration No. on the portal — enter Aadhaar, verify by OTP, and it returns the registration number to use.

How do I check PM Kisan status by mobile number?

Use Know Your Registration No. with your mobile number to get your registration number, then open Know Your Status. You can also call the IVRS helpline on 155261 from your registered mobile.

What does 'payment stopped' or a No flag mean?

One of the three conditions — e-KYC, land seeding, or Aadhaar–bank seeding — is incomplete. The table on this page gives the fix for each. Payment resumes from the next cycle once all three show Yes.

My status says all Yes but the money did not come. Why?

Usually the seeded bank account is closed, dormant, or has a name that does not match Aadhaar. Confirm the account with your bank, and if it has changed, update it through the correction option in Farmers Corner.
